Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken or mutton, cut into small pieces
- 3-4 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large karahi or wok over medium heat. Add cumin and coriander seeds and fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
- Add chopped onions and green chilies and fry until onions become translucent and lightly browned.
- Add ginger garlic paste and fry for another minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook until tomatoes are soft and pulpy.
- Add chicken or mutton pieces and mix well with the masala. Cook on medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes or until the meat is browned.
- Lower the heat, cover the karahi with a lid and let the meat cook for another 10-15 minutes or until fully cooked and tender. Stir occasionally.
- Once the meat is fully cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or roti.
